Hi, I wrote a blog post and see it in my list of recent post on the ping.fm site, but it doesn't show up on Facebook.... Am I mistaken to think that this is what's supposed to happen?

Inappropriate?If your ping shows up on your recent list from Ping.fm, but not in a particular social network, then the problem lies with Ping.fm and not PingPressFM.
