WordPress mu Conflict?
Any chance of an update for WordPress mu? I'm able to activate the plugin, but when I enter the API key, I constantly get the WordPress Failure Notice page.
I have no changes to this issue. When I enter an API Key and click "Update Options" at the bottom of the page, I get the /wp-admin/options.php page loading and the message is:
Please advise.

Inappropriate?Is this a referr url string that needs to be changed or does the plugin need to be rewritten from the ground up?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I've run into this problem with other plugins and WordPress MU. You have to registered your options in order for the plugin to work with MU. Here is a link that tells you more about it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Migrating_...

Inappropriate?Any news on this?

Inappropriate?Made a quick patch for using it in a blog with multi authors (and multi PingFM accounts).
Hope it also works for WordpressMu.
Check it at http://sharurl.com/at4a8
It is a patch file so some programming experience needed. I only use Linux so I don't know if and how to use it in other OSes.
I’m unsure
-
Don't use this patch. Use http://sharurl.com/ijuhc instead. Instructions in the bellow comment to Benjamin Jancewicz -
I've made a new patch. Now it should work with Wordpress and Wordpress Mu 2.8.3 or greater (although it was not properly tested so it requires revision and testing).
Can grab it at http://sharurl.com/ijuhc and save it as pingPressFMmu.patch.
Neverthless, REMEMBER TO BACKUP EVERYTHING BEFORE doing anything. And by everything I mean all your Wordpress dir and the database. Being warned so don't cry latter ;-)
About how to apply a patch on Linux, and suppose other *NIX variants, just copy the patch file to the same place where pingPressFM.php is and execute the command:
$ cd [my_wordpress_dir]/wp-content/plugins/pingpressfm
$ cp [dir_where_you_saved]/pingPressFMmu.patch .
$ cp pingPressFM.php pingPressFM.php.backup
$ patch -p0 < pingPressFMmu.patch
If all went well just uninstall and reinstall your pingPressFM. No auto-upgrade is in place so your old vars will be useless and you will have to add the values again, sorry.
Reading THIS ARTICLE could be also of some help on patching Wordpress on Linux.
To apply it on MS Windows try to READ THIS and ask around in the MS Windows developers websites.
On Apple's MacOS X Drupal.org as some information.
Best of lucks!

Inappropriate?@Sharon
Reading the code you message seems to have something to do with problems with some browsers:
The following code is what you could see if digging in:
<td>
<h3>Please wait until the page completely loads.</h3>
This version of this plugin does not work with the following browsers: Internet Explorer 6.x, Safari 2.x, Opera 7.x - 9.27. If you have a newer version or a better broswer, it may be that JavaScript has been turned off. This plugin requires JavaScript. Please report seeing this to the GetSatisfaction page and include your browser and its version.
</td>
Can't help you more but the bug is strange.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?Mmmh even with Humaneasy's patch I get the dreaded "Error! Options page not found." which comes from not using the new register_setting() function...
See this forum thread at Wordpress.org to understand how it can be *properly* fixed...
I’m frustrated
-
I already solved it but only tomorrow I will post a patch on it here :)
The Javascript in the admin being used in the page is also wrong. It should use JQuery and it would work on much more browsers. I maybe make a patch for that too... -
Oh excellent news, Humaneasy! I will be eagerly looking for that patch. And yes, something seems to be wrong with the "Create Trigger" javascript for the button, it does nothing in my case...
A move towards jQuery would be quite nice!
