I’m frustrated

how to install behind a proxy?

installation got stuck on the wait-on-internet-connection
probably, due to the corp proxy server I am behind.

is there a full setup I can download and install (instead of a minimal installer)
alternatively, is there a settings where i can tell it what proxy to use?

I installed from behind a proxy, and the program installed correctly.

Just make sure that your proxy is set correctly in the "Internet Options" control panel.

But after running the program, I stumbled upon another problem. The program couldn't connect to the internet to download information about software.

It would be nice if there was a way to configure the internet connection either during the install or via an options capability after install. Another option is to have the app use IE's network settings which would serve the same purpose.

I have Soluto installed on two PCs at home: (1) a company-provided laptop that I use at home and (2) my home PC. Soluto works just fine on my home PC. Soluto fails with the error shown in Pukwudji's screen shot on the laptop when connected directly to the Internet. IE is set not to use a script or proxy and internet access works fine. Happy to be a test bed.

I am as well stuck with Pukwudji's Issue. I am behind a non transparent ISA server that requires authentication for access. Does your patch not only use a proxy but support an authenticated proxy?

Hey Everyone,

The patch did solve a specific proxy issue. In the meantime you all have to wait on using Soluto behind proxies and firewalls until we find the time to fix it.

We are concentrating right now on making the product work for home consumers (Those usually do not have a proxy\firewall). Corporate users will have to wait until we are ready with our new major release. Shortly after that we shall fix the communication bugs that don't allow us pass some corporate firewalls and proxies.

I think you should add install files in other formats (i.e. ZIP and MSI).

Using a proxy (set properly in the Internt Options), the install will hang during the last step. Moreover the "shutdown computer" button does no longer honour shutdown I have to hard poweroff the computer... Install is OK if I allow http + https ports to pass trhrough.

Here's what I want to do. I found that Soluto would not install on my work PC and gave no error number. I would like to download separately over a public IP, the components I need to install Soluto on my work PC, for the purpose of monitoring the boot time. I don't need to make the work PC boot any faster. So I don't really need for Soluto to communicate over the internet. Is this possible? Thanks! BTW Soluto works well on my personal PC.

  Soluto requires an internet connection in order to connect to our database and detect the apps that run at startup. At the moment there's no option to use Soluto without an internet connection. Sorry.

Here are the proxy settings.
I am using a proxy, but when it tries to go to gnome, it says it can't.
Need some where to find install settings and proxy settings.

Do you have any idea when a solution will be available?

This is clearly a large issue, and a lot of users would like it to be resolved
