Settings.xml properties don't activate profiles.
I don't belive activation of a profile via settings property currently works as discussed in 11.7.1. Common Environments.

Inappropriate?Jamie, let me do some checking and testing on my side. This could be due to the fact that I was using 2.1 for portions of the book. Until 2.1 is officially released, I've gone back to using the latest 2.0.9 release. I'll let you know what I find after I ping Brian Cox about this.
