Mediaflow (2.7)
1. stretches square album art.
2. displays only the 'selected' track - should follow the tracks being played
3. confuses albums by different artists with the same (album) name

Inappropriate?2.) works as intended. If you want that feature, install FocusTrack - add-on:

Inappropriate?1) is fixed in 2.8
3) That is a bug that still needs to be fixed, yes -
Inappropriate?I love the work you have done on this plugin johnm, thanks so much!
Also one thing that bugs me a tiny bit, being the picky 3D animator that I am, but the reflections of the album art should not be squashed vertically as they are by design now. There may be technical reasons why you have done this so feel free to ignore me!
Any reflection in a horizontal surface (floor) like that (at our straight-on viewing angle) should just be a straight flip of the artwork about the floor plane. You can fake it like this if you are using 3D planes as well, just have an vertically flipped version of the album art as the reflection, as a 3D plane, parented to the album art.
I fake this a lot during my work day! Everyone wants glossy!!
Anyway just me being picky sorry! Feel free to add way down your list :-)
I’m happy with this plugin

Inappropriate? Thanks joe, it took me a little while to figure out what you were talking about, I was just being a little slow. I'll try and make some reflection adjustments for next time. I like the album you used to demonstrate that with too ;)

No worries, keep up the good work! Happy New Year as well ;) -
Inappropriate?Sorry to dig up an old problem, but I have choppy mediaflow performance as well :( I'm running on an Intel E8400 clocked at 2.6-3.6 GHz, which should be more than enough to display mediaflow.
XMBC has a similar view, and renders very smooth. Perhaps it is worth looking at how they implemented it. (friendly suggestion, no harm intended :d)
I’m sad
