[0.7] Does the new GStreamer core not work with WMA files?
I am not a fan of WMA files by any means, I only have one CD of songs that are using WMA and I should probably look into converting them to something better like OGG. However, the reality is I probably won't think of it when I actually have time to do it.
I recently upgraded to 0.7pre (I sit on the nightlies because I like living on the edge... or something) and ever since then this CD has the hardest time playing. 2-3 of the songs will play, the rest report incorrect times and the playback meter jumps through there without playing anything then switches to the next song.
Does the new GStreamer core mess up something with WMA file playback? I'm on OSX 10.5 on an Intel Mac Mini.

Inappropriate? The Gstreamer core will only play flac in the upcoming release. We will be working to implement playback via GStreamer for Windows Media and Quicktime in the near future.

Inappropriate?Hi. On OSX, the new gstreamer media core won't make any difference to playback of WMA files in 0.7pre - so you're running into a different problem of some sort.
Hopefully in the following release we'll support WMA files, though, with gstreamer (certainly on windows, and hopefully on macos as well, if you install the flip4mac package) -
Inappropriate? While we're on the subject, is there a way to select the audio decoder used? I'm assuming this would solve a few peoples issues. My issue being the audio quality is not as good on my setup as when I'm using MediaMonkey, foobar2K or Winamp.
I’m frustrated
