.61 upgrade gives media core error
I'm a virgin newbie, I get the same message running on XP. Please advise??
After uninstalling & re-installing this message appears. Songbird opens briefly & immediately crashes?? Please advise?? -
Inappropriate?I have this problem on my 64-bit Gentoo Linux installation (newly installed). I have installed all the listed requirements. An older version of songbird (cannot remember which one) worked great on my old 32-bit Gentoo Linux installation. Any suggestions?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Never mind, I made it work. I thought I had tried everything, but apparently, songbird needed to reinitialize itself after I had installed some missing dependencies. Removing the ~/.songbird directory and going through the initial setup of songbird did the trick :)
I’m happy

Inappropriate? There were very many problems involved after updating songbird from previous versions to the new ones. Especially from 0.5 - 0.6!!
The Problem could be solved by clearing your profile and starting fresh.
There probably were just too many changes in the core, to work with an old profile. -
It crashes immediately after opening. Please suggest how to clear profile?? (plain speak please, most new at this)
