The G15 is a keyboard manufactured by Logitech.

Developers can write "mods" or "scripts" (not sure of the exact terminology) which "plug into" the LCD display on the keyboard. Using a softkey on the keyboard, you can then swap through all these mods for different functionalities (game designers sometimes include a G15 mod to view stats in a game, or you may be able to check your computer's CPU/RAM usage, etc).
My current/last (depending on how Songbird turns out) media player was Foobar 2000. There was a third-party mod written to display information about what was currently playing in Foobar2k so you could just glance at your keyboard display to see what was playing (which went really well with the media keys surrounding the display to skip / pause songs, etc).
The Foobar2k mod by default showed you the Artist, Album, Song title, Release Year, song length, and time remaining numerically and graphically with a slider. You could even alter what exactly was displayed and in what order using the Foobar2k preferences.

This doesn't mean a heck of a lot to me, but I see you already have 2 "me too's". This is an excellent place for you to elaborate on desired/expected behavior of your feature request and drum up some support.
Once you get some folks to rally behind you, we can add it to our to do list; or feel free to log it here to tell the developers what you want directly.

Inappropriate?I already submit the question to Logitech, it seems the native support of Songbird for G15 is not for tomorrow. The only answer i had was "Stay tuned"...

Inappropriate?Does not work on the newest version of the Logitech LCD Manager... which is needed for the new G19 (which I have) so PLEASE update the addon!

Inappropriate?Oh, was it the LCD Manager update that broke this addon? This never worked for me on my gen2 G15 keyboard (which sucks because I have to use iTunes when in a fullscreen application). It'd be great to see a newer version pushed out. =]
