Add Support to WMA Files on Mac on a Native Way
For people like me that have WMA and MP3 and have only Macs in my house, it would be nice that songbird for Mac could play both formats. Not via an add-on. Thanks.

Inappropriate? We agree! I couldn't find an exact match for this feature request in our database, so I added a new one: http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show... (bug 16053).

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate? This is specifically how I came across Songbird. I was looking for an iTunes alternative because it simply will not manage my wma files. I mean seriously what gives? I can play the files with flip4mac, quicktimeX, and within the Finder but I am just not allowed to add them to my library of mp3s and mp4s!?! WTF!
All I want is anything comparable to WMP on Windows. Let me add/manage all my media files the same way. Is that too much to ask? Am I really the only person using OSX that hates iTunes? I am totally baffled by the lack of progess on this issue since I bought a Mac 3 years ago. It's now the single biggest headache of all time.
I now download music on my Mac and then xfer it to my server where I can play it from my Windows machine. I thought technology was supposed to make things better, not annoy the absolute piss out of me.
I’m very perplexed.

Inappropriate? Why can VLC do it and songbird not?
I've been using VLC because it's capable of playing WMA's. The interface may not be as nice, but at least I can listen to all of my music.
I’m disappointed
