Adding tag-box without removing genre-box?
Hi people.
I just started using Songbird and what a brilliant program! :)
However, as I can see is frequently discussed, I also think the genre-function is incomplete. I've seen the various solutions for this problem, but it isn't quite how I'd like it to be.
The perfect solution for me, would be not to replace the genre-box with a tag-box, but to ADD the tag-box instead so you have both. That way you could use the genre-box for main genres and the tag-box for subgenres.
Is there a way to do this?

Inappropriate?Perhaps if a tagging feature is implemented, there could be an option in Songbird's preferences where you choose how the tags should be saved. Either they could be saved into the genre metadata field to keep them attached to your audio files, or they could be saved to a database on your computer/online instead. I don't know if it would be possible to save tags to the metadata file apart from using the genre field, because I don't know if new fields can be added to the metadata. Does anybody who is knowledgeable about the IDv4 standards know if it is possible to add a new field/value to the metadata?
