Airport express?
I was wondering if there were any plans to implement a system by which
you could stream music to a stereo using an mac airport express
adapter.
If you could it would be most useful. I believe that a lot of the
groundwork should be done as it is possible to stream stuff using raop
player.

Inappropriate?Well it's still in the feature request stage and not scoped out, but if it is done by Songbird it would be across all platforms we currently support.

Currently no integrated means yet, but there is a program known as Airfoil (made by Rogue Amoeba) which works on Windows and OSX.Unfortunately, it is commercial, but only costs $25 (and the rogue amoeba team are nice guys, so they don't use stuff like product activation).
I used to work at an Apple Premium reseller, and we used it in our showroom all the time. Never had any problems (with Airfoil at least, airport express kept crashing but that unit turned out to be faulty).
It works by redirecting all sounds from the computer to the speakers. Keep in mind though that Airtunes has a small amount of lag, so unless you mess with your synchronisation settings, it might not work well with video.
