Automatic backup & restore of the library.
Problem description:
I've seen a lot of people having problems with libraries becoming corrupt or similar problems.
Here some examples:

http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/t...
And there are lots more.
Solution:
Songbird should make automatic backups of your library every session, kind of what firefox does with the bookmarks. That way when such a problem appears, it could automatically restore the old library. iTunes also has this capability.
It's not that much work I believe, and it really adds much to a better user experience.

Inappropriate?great idea. but what does this profile-option actually do? thought this different profiles were saving all settings of songbird (and the library is one of them)
-
Inappropriate?Well, profiles are something different.
Well, profiles are like having multiple users on your operating system. It saves settings, library, addons, ... for each profile. But the problem is that sometimes the library gets corrupted or fails somehow. Currently most users have to create a new profile and start again from zero, which is of course very frustrating. -
Inappropriate?i think would be very usefully, and a button that make a backup in a archive, when i reinstall the system i want restore the information from my old library. thanks.
