Avoid all pop-up menus ! Make them Tabs!
It would be very cool if Pop-up windows are avoided as much possible!
Wherever possible every Pop-up window/menu should be a tab.
i.e. when clicking >tools>add-ons, or >tools>birdtitle preferences , or >tools>file downloads
a new tab should be opened in the songbird window.
Maybe even the still "lala" video window could become a video tab.
This would in my opinion keep the songbird GUI very organized and if all pop-ups are banned
make it an outstanding feature distinguishing the bird from other software!

Inappropriate?LOL qways. I read the first line of this and immediately opened a tab to find the topic we discussed yesterday to tell the user ''we were *just* talking about this!" Then I read on, saw the user was you and yeah, realized that would be the wrong answer.
Thanks for starting a new thread with the idea, I like it too.

dunno if you noticed but my employee badge is back and you have a new badge too: Songbird Champion! Comes complete with an (invisible) cape and a "du-du-du-du!" every time you make a make a pro Songbird post on Set Satisfaction! :0)

Inappropriate?I like this thought too.
Leaves much UI for the add-on creators to work with when customizing their options menu thingies, and maybe come up with some new inventive ideas.
