bookmarks toolbar/menu
I would really like to see a bookmarks toolbar for your frequently visited sites and/or a bookmark drop-down menu like in Firefox. Most people probably close the sidebar when they are doing there web browsing in songbird so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for the bookmarks to be there. It also lacks the ability to organize your bookmarks into folders. If you don't want to integrate this into songbird then perhaps someone can create an add-on for this purpose

Inappropriate?Hi cyko_01,
Going through our posts we saw that your comment/question fell through the cracks. Doh!
These are great suggestions for the browser side of Songbird. As we march toward 1.0, we have been focusing most of our attention on making Songbird an outstanding media player first, so the browser side has gotten less attention. That being said we always appreciate input from our loyal users. We have set it up where you can make feature suggestions directly to the developers using Bugzilla -- just click here, and include the appropriate details and your comments.
If you don't have a free bugzilla account, signing up is quick and easy and will allow you to share your feedback directly with the development team.
We apologize again for the delay in our response, and I do suggest that you keep checking the Add-ons page to see if someone beats us to the punch on this one.

Maybe one of the nightlies? -
Inappropriate? This is my favorite way to use my bookmark bar in Firefox, I'd love for Songbird to be able to do the same, then i would only have to use Songbird :)
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?I was just about to suggest this.
As much as I love my bookmark toolbar, it's not something I'm entirely longing for in Songbird. But I do definitely think that someone should make an addon to show "Bookmarks" up top in the menu, like FF. I would totally make an addon myself, but I'm a newb to XUL, Javascript, and programming in general.
I think it would be a very excellent addon to contribute.
(Peter Rosel, is that Songbird, or Firefox?)
I’m in anticipation

Inappropriate? This would be useful for people who hide the left side bar while browsing and can't access the bookmarks there.
On the topic of a bookmark bar, I think there should be two browser states: one for when the left side bar is showing, and one for when it is hidden. If it is hidden, the user could be given a bookmark bar like in Firefox since it is no longer available in the side bar. If the side bar is visible, the user doesn't need a bookmark bar, and Songbird also doesn't need to display a "Library" tab since it is already listed in the side bar. This might make it feel a little more seamless to switch between the browser and library in Songbird when the side bar is hidden.
