BUG: UK user being prompted for Last.fm subscription
BUG: Last.fm requires subscription in UK!
Platform: Mac OS X 10.5.7, MacBook Pro 2.16GHz C2 Duo 15''
I've just got Songbird, thinking this would be a great iTunes replacement as I use Last.fm and iTunes (as well as Spotify).
Anyhow, the error Songbird gives the error:
This is in complete violation of Last.fm's policy, which of course I'm very annoyed about. This has been in effect for over two months, why isn't it fixed?
Without Last.fm, iTunes and the Mac Last.fm client make a better pair than Songbird.

Hey will.pimblett,
hellocatfood is correct, sadly... You must be a Last.fm subscriber now.

Inappropriate? The changes to last.fm state that if you must be a subscriber to use an external client to listen to last.fm radio. Only the official client or the web based interface will allow you to listen to last.fm radio

sad... oh well, time to bite the bullet -
ya, it has it's benefits.. and is relatively inexpensive... I like to think I'm supporting the music industry in some way by being a Subscriber :-) -

Inappropriate?Well, I am listening to LastFM radio in Rhythmbox and I am not a subscriber. Explain that one.
I’m indifferent

Rhythmbox is still using the old api, which, as Songbird stated, will become unsupported soon. You can always switch back to the old version of the last.fm addon, which uses the old api.
