bugzilla 15513/ Playlists leave song duplicates on Ipod
I have the same problem as defined on bugzilla 15513, I know this from another post.
How do I get into 'bugzilla' and how do I get notified on progress of this bug.
More generally when is songbird going to take hold of the ipod add-on and get it working properly?
I know Apples code protection is the stumbling block and there must be uncertainty regarding playlist handling in particular as it is conspicuously absent in other media players like Rhythmbox.
Your product is excellent in your roadmap you concentrate on, frankly, largely pointless features like the (basic) equaliser in Isan.
You want Songbird in the main repos for Ubuntu but Canonical aren't going to include something that has serious problems with commonly used features like ipod support.
In short, and IMHO external device support, including ipods should be concentrated on as part of the main project and not left on the sideline.
Best Regards, and hopefully some answers for this novice regarding bugzilla!

Inappropriate?Hi Guy,
You can track the comments on bugs by:
1. Going to the "people" box in the upper right hand corner of the bug.
2. Add your email in the "add cc" box
3. Scroll down and hit commit.
If you don't have a free bugzilla account, signing up is quick and easy and will allow you to share your feedback directly with the development team.
We agree device support is crucial. We are working on a big piece of that puzzle for this release: http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Releases...
We know there is still a lot to be done. Thanks for your support.
