Can not play over home LAN.
I can not seem to reach other media sources on my network while using song bird. I am able to use nas and my old boxes filled with HDD serving as file servers when using the integrated ubuntu player and with VLC (vlc gives me some isue but can be worked arround).
What if any is the current fix for this behavior?

Inappropriate?Going through our posts we saw that your comment/question fell through the cracks. Doh! We hope you've found the solution in other Get Satisfaction threads. Or perhaps figured it out by exploring Songbird further yourself. We suggest you update to the most recent nightly build which has many fixes and could resolve your problem.
If you still need help, just give a chirp back! We are here to help.
Again, sorry about the delay in our response! -
Inappropriate?Hello, I have exactly the same problem with songbird under ubuntu 8.10. All files on my NAS mounted as a mediaserver are not accessibly by songbird while VLC, rhythmbox et al have no problem to playback.

Inappropriate?Just found the solution, you can use network storage and drives by browsing through the ~/gvfs directory unter Ubuntu.
