Can songbird put podcasts where they belong?
How (if at all) can Songbird place podcasts into an iPod Classic's Podcast directory (as opposed to the iPod's Music directory)?

Inappropriate? It would be quite nice, but im sure it would be difficult to program and there are probably more important things to do. When full podcast support comes out hopefully it will work wonders!

Inappropriate?G'day,
Just letting you guys know podcasts is officially on the roadmap now for the release in August (Kanye). I'd imagine this will possibly also make it easier to put podcasts on devices properly too :D

Inappropriate? And, unfortunately, podcast support is off of the road map for Kanye and "will be completed in a future release".
I wonder if you could use the FolderSync extension to move the files. Use a smartplay list for the genre "podcast", and then add the playlist to FolderSync to copy the files outside of the iTunes Music folder into an iPod folder. If you have Songbird set to watch the folder for changes, it should still get the podcasts and add them tot he library.
Maybe I'm missing what you are trying to do here, as I am not an iPod or iTunes user.
