Can we stop Songbird from maximizing everytime it starts a new song?
I was just hoping that there was a way to stop Songbird from maximizing every time it starts a new song. Am I missing something?

Inappropriate?I guess, you mean, it jumps in front of other windows?
We've had a couple reports about it.
Or is it literally maximizing?
That would be something new....
What platform are you running on?
What Songbird build do you use?
What add-ons do you have installed besides default ones? -
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. It is actually maximizing whenever the song changes. This includes when I use the little skip button on the front of my laptop to change tracks. If it is maximized, but behind other windows, it does not jump to the front.
I'm running Windows XP Media Center Edition, Version 2002, SP3.
Songbird Version: Songbird 1.0.0, Build 860 (20081124135419)
Add-ons installed:
- Concerts 0.2.1.882
- DOM Inspector 2.0.0
- iPod Device Support 3.0.10.860
- JavaScript Debugger 0.9.87.4
- LyricMaster 1.6.1.1
- MorningPeeps 0.3
- MTP Device Support 1.0.12.860
- QuickTime Playback 1.0.0.860
- Windows Media Playback 1.0.0.860
- YABS 0.9.9.5 -

Can you try to disable add-ons one by one and go through track change for each one?
To disable, go to Tools-Add-ons, use 'Disable' button and restart when prompted.
Let us know, if it still happens with add-ons disabled. -
Inappropriate? It's LyricMaster, but you don't even have to disable it to stop the maximizing. The problem only occurs when LyricMaster is open in one of the panes. If you hide the pane, Songbird doesn't maximize when the song changes.
Mantis: does hiding LyricMaster fix your problem?
I’m happy.

Thanks for nailing it down!
I will try to repro this and file a bug if this happens as described.
We're going to have to point add-ons author to this issue since this add-on is created by external developer.
Unfortunately, it looks like he was not responding to the latest comments in add-on summary page, so I don't know how long the turnout will take.

Inappropriate?Sorry, been out of town for a while.
Yes, preliminary testing of hiding the Lyric Master pane seems to solve the problem, and, yes it was Maximizing.
I'll post again if problem continues.
Enjoy the day.
