Can't install new feathers on version 1.00
when I try and download feathers, they don't show up in the view menu. How can I get and install new feathers?

If you browse to the add-on site with songbird all you have to do is hit the green "install" button on the add-on you want. Since you have downloaded the .xpi file, you have to drag it in Songbird itself and you'll be prompted to install the add-on. -
Inappropriate?i have the same problem. I tryed to install the skin "sparkle" by hitting the green button, restarted sb and nothing there. then i dlled the skin via my web browser and dragged it into sb. then I installed it and restarted... nothing either. what am I doing wrong? -

Since I'm the author of the Sparkle feather I'd like to know what version of songbird you're using. At the moment Sparkle supports up to version 1.4
If you're using a compatible version I'd like to know what other add-ons you got installed, there might be some kind of conflict somewhere.

can't install some of the feathers, specifically the Sakura and Sparkle feathers (they don't show up under the feather list OR the addon menu) -

If you are in linux, try installing the official package, instead of a random RPM or whatever you find on the internet. Its one reason why Linux is so messed up...

Inappropriate?I was using linux and never had problems there but I switched to windows 7 during program problems.

Inappropriate?I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and Songbird 1.2.0. My initial problem was somehow not seeing the Install button. I read about it here, used it, and it worked!
