Can't play MP3s : .dll problem
Hi, I need some help for a identified problem. I had the same problem with Media Monkey : I can play .wma files for instance but no mp3...
I had the same problem with Media Monkey, I solved the problem by changing the dll thanks to this : http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/in...
Is it possible that songbird reacts like MediaMonkey on my computer? Can I change the mp3 dll ?
Thank you

Inappropriate? Are you getting an error message? Could you please explain in more detail what happens when you attempt to play an MP3 in Songbird? Also, you did not indicate a Songbird version. Please ensure you are using 0.7.0.

Inappropriate?I use Songbird 0.7.0
When I attempt to play a mp3, it seems that this is ok, but the timeline and title info don't appear like it should, no sound, and then Songbirds tries to play the next song, an dth next, and the next until i stop Songbird.
As I said on my previous post, I had the same comportement with Media Monkey, i think it is not directly due to Songbird, but to a .dll story, I wanted to know if it was possible to manage the mp3 decoder's dll.

Inappropriate?I have exactly the same problem.
It tries to play the song, no timeline (just the speaker icon left to the title for a few milliseconds)
Then nothing, it tries the next song (speaker left to the title) and nothing till the next etc etc.
I'm using Win XP SP3
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I found the problem !
The extension WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYBACK is responsible for this problem !
If you deactivate the add-on and restart songbird, your MP3 should be played !
It worked for me at least !
I finally can enjoy this software and replace my winamp !
I’m excited
