Convert music format
Will Songbird be able to convert between different music format such as from ALAC to FLAC or OGG?

Inappropriate?Eventually yes. For now there's a dependency on landing GStreamer as our media core. Implementing something before we finish GStreamer would be platform-specific and would most likely be re-written when work on the media core is complete.

Inappropriate?Don't forget converting to mp3 format at different bit rates using lame (I don't think it can be bundled with Songbird so the user will have to place it in the Songbird directory like you do with Audacity)
Also automatic conversion (transcoding) to portable devices to a specific format and bit rate would be great!
