Delete all songs
How can I delete all the songs from my library (just from my library, not the actual song file)? When I select all of my songs and press delete it stops responding. I tried uninstalling Songbird and then reinstalling it, but it kept all my library information.

Inappropriate?Justin,
You actually need to create a new profile to get a clean library. Instructions to clear your profile are here.
I’m glad!

Inappropriate?ok, i figured something out... it typed %appdata%\Songbird2 into the windows search bar and deleted the db folder which was under the profile folder. it works great!
I’m excited

Inappropriate?but now my i dont have a library and i can't import anything...
-
Inappropriate?i figured it out. i just deleted C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Songbird2
and C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Songbird2 and then reinstalled songbird -
Inappropriate?Yes, the link is broken. Are the steps that Justin followed correct, or is there another recommended method?
I’m wishing there was a better way

Inappropriate? If you select all the songs and then unselect one song and press delete it seems to work.
-
Inappropriate? For those on Linux, to delete the library (and unfortunately all of your other settings), close Songbird then navigate to:
1) /home/"userID"/.songbird2 (Note, you need to enter ctrl+h to see the hidden folders)
2) Delete the profile.ini and the .default folder (e.g.: 6row8ii8.default)
3) Restart Songbird. You will have to re-agree to the EULA and it will prompt you to point it to wherever your music is stored
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
CJC
I’m wishing there was a more elegant way of doing this.
