Delete song from file, not just Songbird library
Is there anyway to delete a song entirely from the file it lives in through the Songbird interface? When I delete a song in Songbird, it disappears from the library, but the original song in the file remains there, although it no longer appears in Songbird. It would be great to at least have the option of deleting the song totally and completely.

Inappropriate?Sadly, this will not be able to make it into Isan due to complications, mainly time constraints... I will keep you posted when more information comes.. Hopefully it will come soon ;)

Inappropriate?In Songbird 1.2, When Managed Mode is enabled, Songbird will delete music from your Library AND Hard Drive by default!
If you wish to disable this,
Go to about:config in the Location Bar(address bar).
Search for songbird.media_management.library.delete
Double-Click it to set it to false

Inappropriate?That's pretty cool. Unfortunately, I like to organize my music in files by the people who introduced me to it, so I'm not going to use Managed Mode. I think it would be neat to have the option to delete the file from the hard drive from the library without being in Managed Mode. (I realize I'm probably a bit peculiar in how I organize my music...but I bet other people may have similar quirks which may make this feature useful to them, too.)

Inappropriate?Yea I need a way to delete files from the harddrive right from the library, I use Picard to organize my music, and dont wish songbird's managed mode to interfere with that, and hence can't enable the Managed mode
