Does anyone know what database the LyricMaster add-on uses?
Does anyone know what database the LyricMaster add-on uses? I have artists with no lyrics available and would like to add lyrics to the database instead of just my own metadata so that the lyrics are available to everyone.

Inappropriate?LyricMaster use LyricPlugin website : http://www.lyricsplugin.com
To edit or create lyrics, simply use url like that :
http://www.lyricsplugin.com/plugin/?a...

No matter what browser I use, when trying to 'edit' I am told to upgrade to version 0.3. I installed the WMP client from lyricsplugin.com and that didn't seem to help. I'm not sure how to get the mysterious 0.3 version.
But aside from that, your description of creating lyrics by just using a url doesn't seem to make much sense to me. If you could further explain your method I would appreciate it. Also, if you know anything about that 0.3 problem... -
Could it use the lyric wiki website as it's database? -
Inappropriate?Yeah so LyricPlugin is originally a Plugin for Winamp and Windows Media Player.
LyricMaster simply use data for this website to show lyrics.
The actual system to edit lyrics is done inside the player with the plugin. (just for Winamp and WMP)
So when you open this song link, the website try to identify the plugin, but it's your browser.

thanks for getting back to me GeekShadow. i'll try it out within wmp -
sick. it works. i'm using the wmp interface of the lyricplugin to add lyrics and they show up instantly in songbird. i hope they include this interface in songbird soon. i am now using wmp for lyric editing, mediamonkey for flac ripping and organization, and songbird to enjoy my collection...i hope songbird eventually allows me to eliminate those two other players... -
Inappropriate?@eyeverve

Inappropriate? If someone knows what lyricplugin looks for when submitting lyrics, I can easily add it.

hi rcw003...i'm not a programmer, but since i started this topic, i'll search around and see what i can find out -
Inappropriate?0.3 version is activated apparently by using a different URL:
http://www.lyricsplugin.com/winamp03/...
it should work that way.
