Does the Remove Duplicates function remove files from your hard disk?
What does the Remove Duplicates functions do exactly? Does it check for duplicates and remove them just from the Songbird library, or does it remove them from your hard disk?

Inappropriate? It removes them from your library, nothing else. As it is, songbird does not move, or delete anything from your harddrives. The only thing, songbird does is to edit the ID tags of your songs.
Thing to remember though is, that songbird will sync IPods or MTP devices, that are connected and possibly delete things from those.
In very rare cases songbird has been reported to have deleted some media, but that is always a bug and not intended.
As it stays with all pre-release software. Always make sure, you have sufficiently backed up all of your precious files, before engaging in testing those apps.
Tyler out!

Inappropriate?i think it would be cool if songbird could delete from drive too, like how itunes can send to recycle bin. i often use these functionality :)
