Doesn't Sync all Songs
When I drag a bunch of songs to the device icon, it animates as if it's syncing, and it goes through the whole list and looks as if it's syncing, but in the end it only syncs a few of the many songs I tried. They were all the same: MP3's all ripped at the same time.

Inappropriate?Same Problem here with an Samsung YP-Z5. You are not alone!
I tried to install the version that worked last, but it was not installable (after modification of the file) at the 1.1.2 version of Songbird. What a pity, i hope the mtp Addon will be updated soon, because it worked in 1.0!!!!!!
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Yup, i'm having the same problem. I added new music to "My Music" folder. Tried in every way to make songbird recognize my new music, drag and drop, import media, import library, etc...
WHAT THE F????
I’m dumb?

Inappropriate?Hi all,
The devices we have tested for compatibility are listed here. If you don't see your device, it doesn't mean it won't work, it just means that we haven't had an opportunity to test it yet.
Give it a shot and you tell us!
As a side note, it is possible for your device to start working through future versions of the MTP addon without us working directly with your device. If device support is a critical issue for you, please check back with Songbird in a future release.
If you don't have a free bugzilla account, signing up is quick and easy and will allow you to share your feedback directly with the development team. -
Inappropriate? The problem is that the compatibility list is not up to date as many devices worked with previous versions of the add-on and does not work anymore with last updates.
I’m anxious

Inappropriate?I'm experiencing the same problem when trying to sync to a Ipod shuffle (2gen). This worked in the past

Inappropriate?I just tried with Songbird 1.2 and the problem is still there. I have not noticed any slight improvment. So sad

Inappropriate?Hi All,
Have you tried 1.2 with the Folder Sync add-on? If not, can you please give that a go and report back here?
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate? As per Laura Thomas' recommendation on this thread I tried using the "Folder Sync" addon with Songbird 1.2
It returned the following error:
Error while parsing the following files: 03 it's goin' down.mp3[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIFile.copyTo]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://foldersync/content/pane.js :: anonymous :: line 647" data: no] 07 - the gift of gab - the writz.mp3[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIFile.copyTo]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://foldersync/content/pane.js :: anonymous :: line 647" data: no] 06-the_mighty_underdogs-science_fiction.mp3
...and so on for about 70 files worth.
Not sure what this means, but hopefully it will be helpful.

I forgot to add that I'm using a Sansa Clip on Windows 7 RC x64 -
Inappropriate?as eric noticed- this seems to be the same bug in bugzilla-
http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show...
i have the same problem (not sure about the folder sync - will try that now) with a creative zen x-fi
-
foldersync doesnt work with creative player- cant browse to the location
retested MTP
synced 3/8 of one CD as a playlist
synced 81/119 of another playlist (mixed)
synced 70/75 of another playlist (another mix)
any ideas? -
Inappropriate?Alright, I retried the folder sync thing after formatting the player.
Turns out it was just full for some reason (not sure where all the files where, they weren't visible in MSC mode for some reason)... anyway...
once reformatted, all the songs copied fine, although they were not in the normal folder structure (just copied all files to the MUSIC directory instead of re-creating a Artist->Album file structure) which made rebuilding the library a little slow i think, and the ratings did not sync, but all in all works well now.
I’m relieved

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?I guess I'll have to swith to folder sync to but it is not really a solution as it doesn't handle playlist file like mtp....
I’m sad
-
It is no solution at all. Maybe a temporary workaround.
It is an implemented feature that is (still) simply broken. -
Inappropriate?I have this same problem. I played around with one specific song that wouldn't sync to my Sansa Fuze. I had to edit the ID3 tag in order to get it to sync. I changed the year from "2007-07-10" to "2007", and it would then correctly sync to my Fuze.
