Double-clicking an item in the library does not start playback.
Double-clicking an item in the library should start playback of that item. It should definitely not open a field for renaming the track.
Currently I need to use some very strange clicking combination to launch playback - triple-click, or something? If I don't do it quickly enough, instead I have to close the renaming field. If I wanted to rename something, I'd open a context menu.

Inappropriate?Update: It's not even double-clicking that opens the renaming field. This is how it works right now:
single click: Select item
double click: Select item (nothing)
triple click: Rename item
quadruple click(!!!): PLAY the silly thing.
Needless to say, having to engage in a clicking frenzy whenever I want to switch tracks is less than convenient. :(

1: select
2: select and play
3: select play and rename
4: ditto
also: click once, wait 1 second, click again = rename song
What version of SB are you using, and what OS are you using? -

The first double click does work
But if I want to change it does nothing
And sometimes even pressing "Enter" doesn't work

On Windows it's possible to set the speed of the doubleclick in the system control, maybe you got a speed that's too high?

the problem was the "Now Playing List" addon.
even if it was not selected I can't use double click

Inappropriate?I've had this problem with songbird 1.20 and 1.4 beta 3 on windows 7. I've just tweaked the windows doubleclick speed, and that seems to have fixed it. However, it's not as if I normally have problems with the OS recognising my double clicks.1 Comment Add a comment

Actually, not fixed. Seems to be performance related - problem appears when songbird has been running for a while / several other programs are open.
