Duplicates, duplicates, duplicates!!!! Get rid of them easily, manage them with some sophistication
Remote libraries!! ( easily manage library on networked hard drive)
Multiple libraries in multiple locations (on network)!!!!
I swear to God if you believe in one that if you can make these three things
a breeze to manage you will BLOW up the competition ( ITUNES ).
I dont know how many people, how many articles, how many years i have been
waiting for these three things... As soon as you do these things you will have me

Inappropriate?Getting rid of duplicates? Sounds like you need the exorcist add-on. That'll fix you up.

Inappropriate?Well, that plugin from what i gather just indescriminently deletes any of the duplicate files without precision. whats needed is a "watching for duplicates mechanism', like watching a folder.... that way you can snag them as they happen and kind of figure out why - i have for years somehow always had 1000's of duplicates. Everytime itunes rescans or re-configures where the library is ( its almost always been on a network or attached drive and itunes flips back to default library folder whenever i lose the connection..) it seems to create duplicates.... its a constant nightmare and i have tried asking, researching for a solution....duplicate annihalator, and dupes are apps that say they help but i end up just having to go through and manually delete every damn dupe every month or so...its a nightmare and kills the joy of listening to my music... if you have any ideas i would be interested in them....maybe i should write an add on myself? but i dont know where to start, never written anything other than php!
