Hangs/glitches when quickly changing a library search
I've found that I frequently have hangs (of atleast 30 seconds, average of 90) when searching a Library of 30,000 songs on both OSX 10.5.6 and Vista SP1 (running all the 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 nightly clients). I've pretty much narrowed this down to being an issue that happens when I have something already searched, I highlight the search, and then type in something else to replace it. Almost everytime I follow this method I will get a hang. However, if I highlight the search, erase it, and then search something else, Songbird will usually perform without a hitch.
Also, these hangs can have weird effects on playback. If a song finishes playing during the hang the next song will not begin to play, however when Songbird unfreezes it will be partway into whatever song was at the top of the search results (which are almost always incomplete searches because Songibrd tries to search and hangs before I can even finish typing). One time I did manage to complete the whole search query before the hang began, and when it unfroze it reported that it was playing the first song of the search results but it was actually playing the next song from the previous search results.
And it's not an add-on issue because I completely erased my previous Songbird install and still got the same problem with a fresh install.
I'd greatly appreciate it if some representative or atleast someone more knowledgeable about bug reporting than myself could enter this into Bugzilla because I'd rather not spam up Bugzilla with my own badly formed bug report.

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?Hi Logan
Never seen something like this happen before...
Anyway, i filed a bug @ Bugzilla: Bug 15562
Do you have a Bugzilla Login? If so, could you please login, navigate to the bug and add you email address to the CC-List?
Because if the developers got questions, the'd better ask you than me :-)
If you have no Bugzilla-Login, you can create on here: Register
I’m unsure

Inappropriate? This is still a problem in 1.2.0a Build 1024. I upgraded to a nightly build in hopes this would be fixed. No dice.
It seems to have gotten noticeably worse with the upgrade from whatever I was at before to 1.1.1.
I’m sad

yeah i never really had the issue too much until 1.1.1 -

Inappropriate? This happens in 1.2 final as well. Windows XP. I upped the memory allocation to SQLite, which improved the responsiveness of the normal playlist, but the search still hangs (~180 seconds for me...)
I’m also concerned.

Inappropriate? But 15562 is marked fixed, but there's definitely still search-related hanging.

Inappropriate?Yeah, I still get the exact same problem as my initial report, including the playback issues as a result of a song switch during the freeze.
I’m confused
