Have Songbird watch for duplicates when adding songs to a playlist
When adding songs to a playlist in Itunes, a small box would pop up and warn me if the song was already on that playlist. It gave options to skip adding the song, add them anyway or cancel. I often start new playlists and will inevitably start adding duplicate songs, so this feature was really helpful.

Inappropriate?Hi gem,
That's a great idea that I couldn't find logged in Bugzilla yet. If you'd like to see it, get some folks to rally behind you, and we'll add it to our to do list; or feel free to log it here to tell the developers what you want directly. Oh the power!

Inappropriate? This may or may not be the same idea, but when a website is set up as a playlist have it check to make sure it's not automatically downloading duplicate files. As it is right now I have, stereogum for example, set up as a playlist and everytime I manually update (right click -> update) the playlist, it redownloads every mp3 file instead of just the new ones.
I haven't verified whether or not this happens if you let it automatically download the new mp3's (i.e. on it's own automatic update timer)
Cheers
I’m happy
