How can I turn of the "Fade" when in a diferent window
I think its really annoying that Songbird gets a bleaching like effect when I go into a different window or program. Is there a way to turn this of?

But in most cases... It depends if the Program uses the native User Interface provided by Apple. Songbird does this since November 2008:

Sorry, no way... Thats a matter of your operating system. Maybe there are some tools out there which can change this behaviour... but songbird cant.

Inappropriate? The Audio output changes, when you switch away from Songbird?
That's not the usual case.
What Version of Songbird do you use?
What Operating System are you on? -
Inappropriate?No the interface

Inappropriate?Could you describe that a little further?
What do you do, when that happens? -
Inappropriate?Im in song bird and browsing for a song, find it and move to firefox. then it looks like songbird gets majorly bleached, all of it. As if you would put a 50% transparent white layer all over it. its really anoying. and it doesnt happen to any other program so its gotta have to to with songbird

Inappropriate?Transparent? Songbird has no built in Transparency effects... Is something like that integrated in Leopard?

Inappropriate? And what happens, when you use the original feather (skin)?
Does it also get that kind of Grey?
What other addons do you have installed? -
Inappropriate?Oh, I think that's just how that feather (style) looks when the application is inactive.
Could you change to the default feather (gonzo), and then see if that one also bleaches? -
Inappropriate?Hey Dudes... That's OSX!!!!! Has nothing to do with songbird ;-) Happens with all programs!!!
-
Inappropriate?I know it happens in gonzo. And no Clamm it doesn't happen in all programs

I really have to get my hands on a Mac someday... I know nobody in my vicinity, that uses one... -
Well, I love mine and will never go back to pc ^^ vista/ xp works better on my mac than on my pc ^^ -
I am living in both worlds and i am happy with both of it... For most stuff apple is my system of choice but there are still things which are better on a PC... Anyway. Slydge i hoped this answered your question. Theres absolutely nothing we can do about this behaviour. Switching to the Apple UI was a long discussed decision and offers a lot of benefits. Yes i dont like this behaviour either. But in that case... we both must live with it as it is and enjoy the rest ;-)
