How can I View & Brows the folders in Songbird?

I think you want to be able to browse your computers files and folders in the left hand sidebar for music files on your computer instead of having to add them to a media library...something that media monkey does pretty well..but songbird is close to overtaking this

does anyone know how to do this?

There is a plugin to do that but it is very weak comparing with Mediamonkey file browse feature. I did a feature request to Songbird staff. You should do the same so they will think about to add this feature.

I, too, am very interested in the possibility of a windows-like folders view. I've tried lots of music libraries/players, and the folders view implementation in MediaMonkey is one of my very favorite tools. I hope that the developers of Songbird look at MediaMonkey if and when they decide to create a "folders" plugin/extension for the Bird. I've just started experimenting with the Bird, and I am very, very pleased, as well as appreciative of all the work that must be going into this project. Thanks!

I just would also love this feature, in fact I think I just won't use songbird until it's implemented because without it, you get all your compilations ruining the order of artists...
