How do I reorganize my music's location without losing play counts and ratings?
I'm trying to reorganize my music folders but I'm not able to without losing all my ratings and play counts.
I closed Songbird, moved a few folders to the new location (they are still inside the "Music" watched folder) and restarted Songbird. Songbird automatically started to update the files location and I thought this would do the trick...
However, I lost all my song ratings and play counts and the artwork also stopped appearing.
Lucky for me, I backed up the whole database and restored it... But I still need to reorganize my music's folders without losing all this data.
How can I do it?

Inappropriate?Hi Nazgulled,
That should not be happening. I created a bug for you and Michael Purses, a super duper Songbird community member is already testing away to figure out your issue.
You can track the comments on this work item by:
1. Going to the "people" box in the upper right hand corner of bug # 16989
2. Add your email in the "add cc" box
3. Scroll down and hit commit.
If you don't have a free bugzilla account, signing up is quick and easy and will allow you to share your feedback directly with the development team. -
Thank you.
In the meantime, I'm modifying the SQLite database directly by search and replace the file locations, this does the trick for now, but of course, it's a pain in the ass and error prone to do it like this. I just have to be extra careful. -
OMG, I'm link stoopid today. Sorry: http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show... -
No worries, I got it the first time ;) -
Inappropriate?holy cow this was tricky (and kinda fun) to track down, initially bug 15203 was implemented back in hendrix(1.1) to avoid this issue, but i guess you found ways around it ;-) is one of your scenarios close to the ones I wrote down in the bug report(16989)..(the *NO*s) If not, could you add it to it :D
thanks
I’m poot
