How does SB edit metadata?
Hi all
yesterday i tried to modify some mp3 metadata (genre, artist, some song names etc) and I also downloaded cover art. I closed Songbird and moved the mp3 files onto my external HD and brought it to another computer and .. all metadata seemed to be as before my changes and cover art was not there.
So i wonder if songbird edits mp3 files directly or stores all these informations in some proprietory files...
many thanks for shedding some light on this :)

Inappropriate?Hi pippo
Songbird stores his Metadata as ID3 tags directly in the mp3 files. They should stay if you move the files to another computer...
With which program did you open the files on the other computer? Also Songbird?

I’m unsure
