Inappropriate?Well all you really have to do is download it (tar.gz) and extract it (in your home directory or wherever you would prefer). Then your done. You can create links in menus and such and just make the command the location of the 'songbird' file. If you prefer RPM's then head over here: http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Develope...
