How to install on Ubuntu?
I want to install songbird in ubuntu but since it's not a apt-get install kind of thing I don't know how to do it and I don't want to try anything because I'm afraid of messing up and not being able to fix it.
So anybody can give me the steps?

Haha. jk. I just wanted to use that once...
If you download the .tar.gz from Songbird, then just extract it (right click on it, extract here) Then move that new 'Songbird' folder to your home directory, or somewhere you would like, and inside that folder is the Songbird. From there you can make a shortcut to it.
or download a .deb from http://www.getdeb.net/app/Songbird or that first result in google(for a release candidate)...And well, install it.
I’m silly

Inappropriate? Also, you can download the rpm (Redhat) and use alien (apt-get install alien) to convert it.
alien --script -i [rpm package]
that will convert the rpm to deb and install... you can do this with lots of other distro's packages...
also, if this is over anyone's head, i have the .deb for ubuntu-ppc... gimme a shout...
