I can't find any of my new tracks, just old ones.
I have a lot of new albums and tracks, but Songbird can't find them. The only music it can find is what I had when I installed Songbird. Even some of my old music seem to be a problem to play, I know I could in the beginning. What is wrong? Probably just something obvious I missed, but I wan't to play my new music! help!

Inappropriate?First of all; how do you import your music to songbird? Drag 'n' Drop, Media Importer...?
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? That's the problem... I can't. I tried to drag them, but nothing happened. Songbird seem to find the folder with the bandname, but not any music, or just one song.
-
Inappropriate? Are you using watchfolders (only nightlybuilds)?
If not , are all your music located in the same directory or are they on different places on your HDD?
Have you downloaded the tracks with Songbird or do they come from somewhere else? -
Inappropriate?heh... I just have them in my musicfolder, sorted by band, nothing fancy. Songbird found them in the beginning, so why not now? The tracks are all mp3, not from Songbird, don't remember where I got them, just found them after some time. Probably torrent.
-
Inappropriate?Alright, if you haven't already done so, go to File > Import media and import from where your music is located.
What happens if you right-click an .mp3 file and got to properties and select to open it with Songbird?
And if you wouldn't mind I'd like to know what OS and version of songbird you're running :-) -
Inappropriate?I tried Import media first, nothing. When I right-click an mp3 file and select Songbird, the program opens, but nothing more.
OS... do you mean mac? I have Windows Vista and I have Songbird 1.0.0... maybe I should upgrade?
-
Inappropriate?By OS I meant Operative System, and media importing with 1.0.0 in Vista shouldn't be a problem....
Even though It doesn't solve your problem, you'd might want to try a nightly build to see if the problem continues.
Get the latest Nightly Build here.
Meanwhile I'll try to figure out what could be wrong. -
Inappropriate?Really Strange... I'll look in the bugzilla and see if I find something interesting...
Hang in there, we'll solve this! -
Inappropriate?First and foremost, next question is what files are not showing up?
What are they? mp3, flac, ogg, and so on, and so forth.
Any addons installed in songbird?
