Inappropriate?Can you provide us with more details on your situation? Ie which add-on where you using, how did you close it, etc. -
Inappropriate?It depends a little on the particular add-on, but many of them have a menu item under the Tools menu. Some also are actually DisplayPanes and you can go to one of: View->Show Right Sidebar, View->Show Content Pane Bottom or View->Service Pane Bottom to dispaly the pane. Then pick from the display pane picker button in the top right corner of the Display Pane to choose what you want there.
