I want to create playlists from songs on websites without downloading them
I like being able to play songs off of websites without downloading them. While it works to navigate to a particular site (or click a bookmark) to listen to an album, I'd really like to be able to create playlists containing music that is on various webpages. Just being able to right click the track in the menu songbird gives me and pick an Add to Playlist button would be awesome. Another option could be "Create Playlist from Online Media" which would take all the songs on the webpage I was viewing, and create a playlist in songbird for that media. Bookmarks are OK, but I'd like the playlist to appear alongside the playlists for downloaded media. I don't want to download the songs, just listen to them (I have a netbook with a small hard drive).

Inappropriate?I think it would be great if you could add online songs to playlists (as well as adding them to your library without downloading the files). Eventually, if you are able to send playlists to friends using a social add-on, this will be especially useful because then you wont have to send them the actual files of songs. To let you know that the files aren't on your computer, online songs in a playlist could say "Online track" next to them. It should give you a warning if you try to transfer that playlist to a device, because either those songs will have to be skipped, or it could give you the option to download them and add them to the device. I think you should also always have the option to right click and download the tracks at any time if you want.

Inappropriate? This issue came up a few months ago, too; check out my response to the topic here:

I haven't come up with any better way of doing it since then, and I don't have the chops to program an add-on that would do this automatically. Although I can't imagine it would be that complicated, any takers? (pretty please?)
Hopefully this works for you until we get a friendlier way of doing it in SB
I’m confident
