ID3v2.3 separator problem
Tag ID3v2.3 standard treat the splash char "/" as separator, but Songbird 0.7 RC2 seems unable to handle this situation, like ARTIST "AC/DC".

Inappropriate?Hi WM,
in fact the ID3v2.3 spec does not specify slash as a separator. Please reference section 4.2 of the spec.

If you are describing a different problem, please provide me with some more information and I will gladly look into it.

Inappropriate? In that webpage, I sure that there writes:
TPE1
The 'Lead artist(s)/Lead performer(s)/Soloist(s)/Performing group' is used for the main artist(s). They are seperated with the "/" character. -
Inappropriate?foobar2000 handle this feature well.
But this feature is not so necessary.
I know Songbird use id3v 2.4 as default.
Thanks for replying.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?Of course this is very necessary. How else should one separate multiple artists? Windows Media Player 11 might not be a perfect player, but it's a perfect example of how to implement proper artist separation.
I'm so tired of fumbling with "feat." entries and their likes. And there's no reason to do that when there's an optimal solution at hand (aka slash). -
Inappropriate?Multiple genres are essential for many tracks; Wikipedia regularly several against most albums. I'm trying to my Frank Zappa rips as I type and most albums have three genres.
Implementing this feature would really help the rest of my family discover my music and build genre-related playlists.
I’m frustrated
