I'd prefer to use Songbird but .....
I'm using Mac OSX 10.5.8 and play iTunes on remote speakers via digital input of AirPort Express. Can I do this on Songbird? If not - does anything else work?

Inappropriate?G'day,
Currently no integrated means yet, but there is a program known as airfoil (made by Rogue Amoeba) which works on Windows and OSX.
I used to work at an Apple Premium reseller, and we used it in our showroom all the time. Never had any problems (with Airfoil at least, airport express kept crashing but that unit turned out to be faulty).
It works by redirecting all sounds from the computer to the speakers. Keep in mind though that Airtunes has a small amount of lag, so unless you mess with your synchronisation settings, it might not work well with video.
Hope that helps ;)

Andrew: yes, this works. At $25 one pays for what iTunes offers for free but then again Airfoil does a lot of other things (which I never knew I needed but ..... Much appreciated. Best Wishes
