Import Bookmarks from other Web Browsers
Add a Import Bookmark feature. Users will be able to import bookmarks from other web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox. An Import Bookmark feature would smooth the transition for users deciding to make Songbird their primary web browser.

!!!!!!!!!
Are you doing a media player or do a browser !?
You could do the "FIREFOX RUN INSIDE THE SONGBIRD" insted do a "NEW FIREFOX"
I not aprove the songbird idea doing the copetition to firefox.
I think a browser and and a media player must be two thinks diferents.
With you want integrate a browser inside why not use a plugin like "IETAB (the internet explorer to run inside the firefox)
https://addons.mozilla.org/pt-BR/fire...
The songbird without a browser could get at 6 or 7 megas (insted 13 megas like is today)
And we can choice the browser (like internet explorer 7, google chrome or anything) or recomend the download to firefox by default.
I think the project is losting the focus. -

Au contraire, mon ami! Browser integration always was one the main focus of Songbird, and that's why I love it! :-)
PS: IETab doesn't work good on Mac or Linux ;) -
Inappropriate?Big +1, this would be really useful :)

Inappropriate?I have ~350 bookmarks in Firefox. I doubt they fit into the left service-pane :-D
I would love syncing bookmarks with Firefox, but Songbird needs a better management for large number of bookmarks, first, imho.
@Songbird-crew: Have you thought about implementing Firefox' "Places" into Songbird? I wouldn't mind to move the bookmarks out of the service-pane into a separate, firefox-like, menu-entry. The bookmarks-node in the service-pane then could just replace the bookmarks-toolbar of firefox.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Definitely a good Idea but I think songbird needs a few stability issues resolved before they try anything like this.

Inappropriate?Hi from Australia... you can export bookmarks as html in firefox 3.5 and songbird 1.2 can open that file, which you can bookmark into songbird... it's quick and dirty...
I’m happy

Inappropriate?even a nice folder system under "bookmarks" would work fine... similar to safari sidebar. So long as I can search with keywords in the url like firefox, and be able to select what I'm looking for via a dropdown box. Get a descent stumbleupon toolbar then I would switch browsers for sure.
