Importing Firefox 3 settings???
Hey, mt iTunes suddenly stopped working last night for no apparent reason so i tried re-installing, system restore and a few fixes that had worked for other people but i had no luck so i did a Google search for another media player, removing anything Windows related from the search, i typed 'iTunes vs' hoping i would get a media player similar to iTunes i found Songbird. I downloaded and installed it, loved it at first sight, still do. Once installed i saw it had Firefox built in, i was happy, music and Internet in one =D.
I would like to import my settings from Firefox if that's possible such as my saved passwords and bookmarks, i can save all the settings from Firefox to import them into another installed Firefox i was wandering if there's anyway to import them into Songbird?

Inappropriate?Bookmarks could work. Just save them as html in Firefox and try to import them then into Songbird. Never tried it. I will, when I'm home.
Could be too different, those two though.
Songbird is based on Mozilla code, but differs in almost all ways. It often is just a bit, but in the IT world, that's almost always enough to break things.
Extensions for example are not cross compatible, but many add-ons are already ported over. If those extensions have some kind of own backup, you could definitely cross use those.
I'll look more deeply into that issue, when I'm home in a few hours. -
