IMPOSSIBLE TO CHAGE THE METADATA
Whenever I attempt to change the metadata in the Songbird I get an answer "Metadata for this item can not be edited". I am working on Windows Vista. What to do? Heeeelp!

Inappropriate?Hi Christoffer,
Could you tell me what type of file you are trying to edit the metadata for? .mp3, .wma, .aac, etc...?
P.S. Theres no need to put your email in the question, Get Satisfaction handles the reply notification for us ;) -
Originally all my files are in .mp3 when I move them to the Songbird.
I do not know what format they have after being installed in the Songbird. -
When importing, Songbird does not change the format, it just links to the file. Does your media have any strange security permissions in the location of the files? (like read-only access)
Also to test if your library is corrupt, could you create a new profile using the "Profile Manager". (just search for it in start menu, open it, and create a new profile to test) -
Inappropriate?Make sure you have write permissions to your music tracks. It will not allow you to edit metadata on read-only files.
