Inserting DVD causes massive volume increase
When I insert a dvd while listening to Songbird PowerDvd 8 automatically starts and the volume of my music increases to a deafening level. When I close the Powerdvd program the volume returns to normal again. What would cause this? My ears hurt!

Inappropriate?Hmmm, this is a stumper, which unfortunately is likely the reason no one hopped into this thread sooner, sorry about that. Your best bet is to update to the most recent version of Songbird if you haven't already. It has many fixes and should resolve your problem. If it does not, give us a chirp back and we'll see what we can do.
