Installer for popular linux distributions.
Hey guys first post here. I'm going through all my linux apps and
picking on the ones that do not have .deb installers or are not in the
Software Center for Ubuntu. It would be nice to have them.
Other popular distributions would be nice as well. Fedora, openSuse,
Debian, Ubuntu, etc.
How about a software source for synaptic that automatically updates
Songbird?
Thanks.

Inappropriate?I completely agree.. However, I don't think it should be done by software source. Instead, maybe use something like Autopackage, as that allows the package to work on any compatible distro.
RPM's/DEB's are all rubbish I feel, and we need to start moving away from distribution specific methods -
An autopackage would be great. I used one for a vector application, Inkscape, a couple years ago. I use the version in the repository for Ubuntu though.
I have had great experience with .deb.
