Installing 1.4 beta on Vista - a bust
I cannot install Songbird 1.4 beta on Vista. It gives me the loop about uninstalling the previous version which I have uninstalled and also deleted the songbird directory. Moreover, I cannot install a previous version as I get the same issue.

Inappropriate?Found out the solution on your support from a reply by Andrew Luecke
In summary, you go to regedit and delete:
Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Songbird
Then Voila ready to install
I’m satisfied with the result

Inappropriate? Not really relevent, but the reason is caused by a bug in the 1.3beta1 installation program (you cant manually remove that version). Probably why it was still a beta ;)
I suspect this problem will come back into fashion though (with everyone switching from 1.3beta to 1.4beta now), so have added it to the Songbird first aid page.
Either way, good to hear you got it working (Klint was the one who worked it out).
