Installing Songbird 1.0 on Ubuntu 8.04?
I downloaded and extracted the tar.gz to a dir in my home. Then ran songbird-bin but got the following error:
./songbird-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libjemalloc.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
So obviously, Ubuntu 8.04 is missing something. What package(s) should I install to make Songbird work?
Or better yet, is anybody working on a repository with .deb files for Songbird?

Inappropriate?iGadget,
Are you upgrading from an older version of Songbird? if so, head here for the master topic: http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/t... -
Laura,
No, I'm doing a fresh install, not upgrading. -
Inappropriate?Same on Intrepid Ibex 64-bit. I can't get any executable to work.
./configure, make, make install doesn't work since there's no configure script, no make targets, and the last step needs you to make. So...I'm having to use the .deb from http://www.getdeb.net/app/Songbird
Good luck...
I’m confused by this lack of instruction
