iPhone 3G Syncing without iTunes has been Proven Possible

http://www.mediamonkey.com/news/2008/...

I just discovered that MediaMonkey claims to be able to sync to the iPhone 3G which basically renders iTunes obsolete since that now means I can sync my music at home, at work, anywhere without Apple's imposed limitations. I've since tested it and it does in fact allow me to move songs on and off my iPhone 3G. Strangely, it doesn't bother to rename them but leaves the iTunes db key as the file name. But that's fine, I'd rather use Songbird. What's so exciting about this is not that MediaMonkey does it but that it means it can be done. :)

So Songbird... how soon? :) Is anyone working on this?

Oh and incidentally, right now my iPhone 3G doesn't even show up as an iPod in Songbird. :(
